We give our students projects that require them to work with others, teaching them the invaluable skill of getting past differences and working effectively with others. After all, we get the most done by working with others.
We try to best inform our students' ambitions and dreams by inviting local professionals to tell us about their professional journey and what their jobs involves.
Most Nigerian leaders, today lack this very essential quality. But here, early on, students are included in every leadership role in the school, making contributions and suggestions on problems the school and community are facing. They have meetings with their teachers, taking an active role in their education, creating a culture they'll carry everywhere they go in life.
We encourage and train our students to be creative and make new things out of what they already have. It sounds simple, but it is something Nigeria greatly lacks today.
We believe that it is key that we inform the up and coming generation of environmental issues hurting our world, and how they can join hands to slow its progression. We've only got one world, after all.
By letting each child venture, discover, try new things and stretch themselves beyond their limits, we give them the opportunity to develop skills they can use virtually anywhere.
To curb the spirit of selfishness so prevalent in our society, we show our students that volunteering and serving their society, even in small ways makes a big difference. Overall, the experiences and valuable skills and lessons they gain from their service here helps them become better people, sometimes it even helps them choose careers and learn of their passions.
